Comment by parveen on January 16, 2012 at 6:41am Magnesium is an important cofactor
in many enzymatic reactions and is linked to cellular homeostasis.
In addition, magnesium has an effect on smooth muscle
cells, with hypomagnesaemia causing contraction and hypermagnesaemia
causing relaxation. There is some evidence that when
magnesium is infused into asthmatic patients, it can provide additional
bronchodilation,
evidence suggests that magnesium may reduce the neutrophilic
burst seen with the inflammatory response ,
there is reason to believe that magnesium treatment, in the form
of intravenous magnesium sulfate, may be beneficial in the treatment
of acute asthma.
What is the mechanism of action of Mgsulf in Acute Asthma
