Just theoretical knowledge proves inadequate if we do not know the common products available in the market and their composition etc. This is even more important when one struggles to recollect the dosage in mg/kg to be able to guide the nurses when the phial/ vial mentions the strength of an injection in just %, mg% or gm% &/ or when the ampoule has to be added to infusion fluid in the IV drip/ administered intra-muscularly.

Ulipristal is a Selective Progesterone Receptor Modulator (SPRM) which can be used as emergency contraceptive for upto 120 hours after unprotected intercourse i.e. 2 days more than the conventional emergency contraceptive levonorgestrel. Dosage: 30 mg. Side Effects include menstrual delay and sometimes ovarian cyst formation. Effectiveness is comparable to levonorgestrel, failure rate being 1-3%.

The European Medicines Agency's Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) has recommended marketing of a once-daily combination of the antivirals dolutegravir, abacavir, and lamivudine (Triumeq, ViiV Healthcare UK) for the treatment of HIV infection in adults and adolescents older than 12 years of age weighing at least 40 kg.
The recommendation is for Triumeq in 50-, 300-, and 600-mg film-coated tablets containing the integrase inhibitor dolutegravir and the nucleoside analogues abacavir and lamivudine.
