Book Review !!

National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers is a constituent board of Quality Council of India, set up to establish and operate accreditation programme for healthcare organizations. the board is structured to cater to much desired needs of the consumers and to set benchmarks for progress of health industry.

Unfortunately in India we don't have any such certification for manufacturing, installation and maintenance of medical equipments. For 20 litres of diesel reserve in a hospital we have to take legal permission but for installing MRI machine costing in crores, we don't have any regulation. (e.g. CE certification in UK)

Hence NABH has come up with these guidelines for the medical devices. NABH is a non for profit orgn. This is no commercial activity, but being a member of NABH team at the conference Healthex 2012, I personally recommend this book to Doctors and Hospitals.

I already have my copy. Worth reading for doctors planning to have hospitals, clinic or those who already have one.
