Religions are harmful

They are all false, god, even if he is there, he never sent any prophets & never made contact or talked to anyone.
All religions are man made out of fear of the unknown &ignorance. they are now cawsing many conflicts leading to a lot of wars threatenig the world stability. The fanatics are harming themselves as well as other people.

this is the similar story all religion says to fear man from something you cant see or feel, make then constantly believe on god's presence.
i am almost sure that the CONCEPT OF GOD is a DELUSION and used as an defense mechanism by weak people to explain or hide their weakness. make them constantly believe that okay.....god is there to help him and one day he'll listen to him...and when they are dying they are so dependent on god and they dont want to accept that they were wrong for their entire life. nothing has been done for him by divine. and they are only responsible for their situation-------VERY EASY TO MAKE GOD RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR CONDITION.
all the gadgets and internet you are man-made not created by divine powers.
more i listen to religious talks, more i believe in god's absence.
have you ever witnessed any incidence which proves god's presence?
well i have witnessed none.......

I dont know what God is, but I know for sure what he is not.
And if there is any God,the religious people by defining God and pretending to know who is God, are underming the definition of God.
Its the Guardians of the religion, who are commiting greatest blasphemy by defining God.

i believe you agree to me.
i wasted (now i think i utilized) hundred of hours thinking about the matter of god i came to a conclusion, i was almost sure that god is not there, that was when was in 5-6th std. one thing which made me doubt my thoughts....why millions of ppl believe in god? why millions are afraid of god?(as i am from varanasi, one of the oldest and most religious cities of world)
i got the answer when i started reading psychiatry...
its not the god, who created us...its us who created the god in our mind..to explain the unexplained and find an easy solution to our everyday problem so decreasing our anxiety and fear of the unknown.....and to bring hope to weak ppl when they are in stress; ▶ Reply to This

Why\How are we here? I know the whole darwin theory but it has not been proven in any way besides if you keep on going reversely the first thing in his theory is the big bang so what created the big bang etc... you have to admit the presence of some primordial power that lead to all those events.
Now what happens to us after we are dead? Simple question which no one can answer purely scientific question would be your body rots in the ground okay then animals die there body rots in the ground as well what is the difference between us and animals. Sharing a very similar genome is a purely biological aspect one main difference though is we have the ability to think and choose what is wrong and what is right and apply either(the whole concept of the mind). Now what is the consequence of these decisions are they purely social will they only affect the people around us, the world? why even bother doing the right thing when the wrong is much easier. Is it only to appear good in front of people, then what? Most people don't care what others things anyways...is it by fear of the system of being judged but then again that judge is human can still do the wrong choice and convict an innocent man and the system is man made...the whole point of judgment day is like someone said in some previous post to comfort but comfort whom? All the innocent people that are victims of atrocities committed by humans to other people tell me who committed the genocides whether it was in Europe Rwanda Turkey India Jerusalem those victims need to know and every human being needs to know and BE CONVINCED that those people are going to get what they deserve or else this world is useless and we shouldn't give a damn about anything and just do whatever we want according to our own rules because last time I checked Hitler made up laws saying that jews were inferior and should be killed Man made rules are far from being perfect you need some superior power to dictate how you should lead your life and judge you upon your actions and not by some other equal
I think religion is essential in its absence the world would become Chaos and no one wants that
However how people interpret religions is different and should be done by reasoned people and NOT some unknown person who has no background in the matter whatsoever and people should not judge a whole religion or sect by the actions of one person or even a group of person or else KKK (ku klus Klan) would mean that all Christians are racist.
Finally someone said also that religion was introduced to people who were illiterate were they really? Ancient Greek people believed in a religion and they introduced democracy to the world a concept still used until nowadays same for ancient Egypt , Rome , when Islam started it was then transported to various parts of the Mediterranean and there some of the worlds best philosophers discussed and came up with what is called Islamic philosophy ie Averroes (Ibn Rushd) Avicenna (ibn sinai) many others in other religions as well
And Shreyansh about your quote in my opinion saying that there is no God thus no judgment day then doing bad things or wrong things becomes much more easier since our judicial systems are unreliable... believing in no religion is actually the easy way out and not the opposite; ▶ Reply to This

what is life?
you can see it yourself? a possible definition-Life is a state that distinguishes organisms from non-living objects, such as non-life, and dead organisms. Living organisms are capable of growth and reproduction, some can communicate and many can adapt to their environment through changes originating internally.

can we compare us to machine? ........ Well somewhat...but mostly no-you would say

who are we? i mean what makes shreyansh shreyansh, or anu anu?
can you answer this? you may try.......but i'll give you the answer-its our memory that makes us what we are----all kind of memories our past our family our friends, and most imp being your emotionally rich memories.
let me make it more simple- can you imagine yourself without your memories? - no
can you the same person if any member of your family being changed of replaced by different personality some 15-20 years back? - no
what will you answer when someone asks who are you? you will answer dr anu..- dr- because u know medicine you have read it(memory) anu-because your parent gave you the name anu(emotion!+memory)
i think of hundreds of examples but i am sure you can think a thousand.

one more question before i answer you- what is real? how will you define real? if you feel smell of taste is real, then real is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain.... see it on youtube
you know why hallucination occurs? are they real? or just neurotransmitters!
neurotransmitters change our emotions-previously we use to say "god why did you make me sad?"

so back to your question-why do we die?
its because your brain cant feel anything as brain is dead(no metabolic function as no oxygen or glucose) cant think and cant feel- technically dead.
oh but all the tracts, gray and white matter is still there.
and you know factors which may cause you die......cardiac arrest, renal failure or any factors which ultimately stops O2 or energy to your brain. as we grow old organ doesnt work properly

questions for you-
1.what are viruses? are they living or they are dead?-fit it in any of your definition
2.if god has to decide when and how to die then why averge life expectancy has changed from 1970 to 2003? then vaccines, antibiotics and life saving drugs have no value!; ▶ Reply to This
